Why is the calculator a range and not one price?
Two floors with the same square footage can cost very different amounts. Subfloor condition, room shapes, transitions and the exact product all change the labor. The range covers typical jobs; the measure gives you the real number.
Does the estimate include materials?
Choose “Prime Step supplies it” to include flooring material, or “I already have it” for installation only. Tear-out, stairs and baseboards are listed as separate lines.
How do I measure square footage?
Multiply the length by the width of each room in feet and add the rooms together. Closets and hallways count. We confirm the exact number when we measure.
What is not included?
Subfloor leveling ($85 per bag of self-leveling compound; how many bags depends on your floor), moving large furniture or appliances, structural repairs, moisture problems and specialty patterns are priced after we see the job. Our minimum job charge is $800.
