Luxury vinyl plank and tile
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) is the floor we install most. It is waterproof at the surface, quiet underfoot with the right pad, and tough enough for dogs, kids and rental turnovers.

Scope of work
Your estimate lists exactly what is included. These are the items that usually make up LVP flooring installation in Everett-area homes.
LVP handles what Pacific Northwest homes throw at a floor: wet boots by the door, dog bowls in the kitchen and damp concrete in basements. A good rigid-core plank looks like wood, cleans with a damp mop and does not swell when water sits on it for a while. It is also a strong choice for landlords who need a floor that survives tenants and turns over fast.
Vinyl plank shows every dip and hump beneath it, and click joints can separate over a low spot. Before we lay the first row we check the floor with a straightedge, grind high seams, fill low areas with leveling compound and screw down squeaky subfloor. That subfloor prep is the difference between a floor that looks good for a month and one that stays tight for years.
LVP comes in long wood-look planks; LVT (luxury vinyl tile) comes in stone or tile-look squares and rectangles (for real porcelain or stone, see floor tile installation). Both use the same wear layers and installation methods. We help you choose the format, wear-layer thickness and underlayment for the room, and we install material you buy elsewhere too.

Local housing facts
The typical Everett home was built around 1981, and about 51% of homes are rented. That mix is why LVP is so popular here: it handles tenants, pets and spills, and a typical unit can be turned over in a day or two.

Ask us a questionMore flooring answersThe planks themselves are waterproof, so spills and pet accidents wipe up. Water can still get under the floor at the edges, so we seal around tubs and toilets and leave the expansion gap the manufacturer requires.
Sometimes. Flat, well-attached sheet vinyl or tile can stay in place, which saves tear-out cost. Carpet, loose vinyl and uneven tile have to come out. We decide this on site after checking the floor.
One to three days covers most homes, including tear-out and leveling. Stairs and large open areas add time. You can usually walk on the floor as soon as each room is finished.
Yes. We install matching stair treads and nosing so the stairs flow into the hallway floor, and we can replace carpeted stairs with plank in the same visit.
