Scope of work
What our deck building covers
Your estimate lists exactly what is included. These are the items that usually make up deck building in Everett-area homes.
- Composite decking
- Ground-level and platform decks
- Deck resurfacing over sound framing
- Rotted board and joist repair
- Steps, fascia and railings
Resurface or rebuild?
If the framing is sound, new composite boards can go over the old structure and save a full rebuild. We probe joists and posts for rot first and tell you honestly which option makes sense.
Built for wet weather
Composite decking does not rot or splinter and only needs occasional washing. We use joist tape and proper spacing so the frame underneath dries out between rains.
How deck building is priced
There is no one-size price for deck building. After a free measure you get a written, itemized number based on:
- Deck size and height
- Composite vs. wood decking
- Condition of existing framing
- Stairs and railings
- Permit requirements

Decks & Composite Decking FAQs
Still wondering about deck building? Call or text (425) 370-7624, or send a few photos through the form and we will reply.
Ask us a questionMore flooring answersDo I need a permit for a deck?
It depends on the height, size and your city. Low, ground-level decks often do not; raised decks usually do. We will tell you what your project likely needs.
Is composite worth the extra cost?
In our climate it usually is. Composite costs more upfront but does not need yearly sealing and will not rot, so it often costs less over the life of the deck.
